Common questions

What services does Visual Design Studio offer?

Two connected disciplines. On the design side: brand identities, logos, publication and print design, social media content and infographics. On the visualization side: 3D architectural rendering, interior rendering, 3D floor planning and presentation graphics.

Do you work with clients outside South Africa?

Yes. The work is delivered digitally, so location is not a constraint. Briefs, drawings and finished files move by email or WhatsApp, and projects run the same way for clients anywhere in the world.

What software do you work in?

Renders are produced in Lumion and TwinMotion and finished in Photoshop. Design work runs through Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Figma and Canva, alongside AI-assisted design tools.

What do you need to start a 3D render?

Floor plans or CAD drawings, any elevations you have, plus references for materials, finishes and the mood you are after. If a brand identity already exists, the brand files help keep the presentation consistent.

What kind of projects have you worked on?

Corporate branding for an architectural design studio, a medical imaging campaign, a neon-inspired studio identity, a boutique interior design brand, a magazine cover, a sustainable farm identity, and 3D visualization for townhouse and single-storey residential developments.

Who is behind Visual Design Studio?

Melissa du Toit, a qualified graphic designer with a National Diploma in Graphic Design from Technikon Pretoria, now Tshwane University of Technology. Her training spans drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and art theory, which is where the emphasis on composition and light in the renders comes from.
